First steps
As a pioneering visionary, architect Dionisios Aggourakis started small in Brazil, honing his craft with passion and dedication before expanding his expertise and influence to Greece. His journey embodies a fusion of diverse cultural influences, shaping a unique architectural perspective that seamlessly integrates global inspirations into his visionary designs.

Dionisio Aggourakis
Our Founder
Dionisio, born in 1953, is a dynamic professional whose work intersects multiple disciplines, including biology, architecture, urbanism, education, and strategic business leadership. His career, spanning over five decades, showcases his talent for integrating these diverse fields to create innovative solutions.
Beginning his academic journey with a degree in Biology in 1973, Dionisio developed an approach that seamlessly merges the natural world with constructed environments. This understanding of biology's principles shaped his perspective on architecture and urbanism, leading him to open an architectural office in 1974 even before graduating with a degree in Architecture and Urbanism in 1977. From his early days at age 15, Dionisio honed his skills in his family's construction firm, handling significant public works in Brazil. This hands-on experience combined with his theoretical knowledge laid a solid foundation for his future endeavors in architecture and urban planning.
Between 1972 and 1986, Dionisio served as an educator at São Paulo's Department of Architecture Projects, sharpening his communication skills and mentoring future architects and urbanists. At the same time, he played a pivotal role at Brazil's premier office furniture company 1981-2002). Here, Dionisio propelled the office furniture unit from a modest 100m² to a whopping 30,000m² operation, managing product development, sales, and marketing, and overseeing projects worth over 200 million euros. Dionisio also excelled in creating a network of independent commercial representatives across Brazil, adapting commercial strategies and product mix to regional needs. Moreover, he represented the Italian furniture brand Frezza in Brazil for four years, enhancing its visibility and market presence.
In 2010, Dionisio relocated to Greece and co-founded Free Architects, focusing on project planning, renovations, and property development. His expertise resulted in the construction of retail stores, restaurants, and six residential buildings in the high-demand regions of Voula and Glyfada. Most recently, in 2022, Dionisio launched HoHo, a luxury design consultancy catering to high-end residential and hotel sectors.
